M.Sc. Previous course

M.Sc. is a two year program, Previous and final year. In the first year compulsory subjects are offered only which included

• Cell biology and Biochemistry

• Physiology and Animal behavior

• Developmental Biology

• Genetics and Biostatistics

• Environmental Biology

• Animal Diversity and Wild life

M.Sc. Final course:

In the final year student opt for one of the Specialization, with two paper along with two Compulsory and two optional subjects.

The Specialization included:

Entomology

• Paper A

• Paper B

Parasitology

• Paper A

• Paper B

Fisheries

• Paper A

• Paper B

Compulsory paper included:

• Evolution and Systematic Zoology

• Zoogeography and paleontology

While following optional paper are offered for the final year:

• Microbiology

• Economic Zoology

• Insects of Veterinary and Medical Importance

• Clinical Biochemistry

• Mammology

• Molecular Biology

M.Phil. Students seeking admission in M.Phil. Degree program must have a Masters degree with relevant field. This is a two year program in which student cover the course work of the relevant field.
